After my children were born, I found there was no time for drawing and painting, so I pulled out a camera. What joy I found in the immediate creativity and interaction between my subjects and me! It's what fills me with energy and enthusiasm every time I pick up the camera.
After winning a Kodak contest, I saw that photography was another wonderful avenue to express myself.
I freelance for Rodd & Associates Ad Agency in McAllen, TX, photograph models for Missy's Modeling, also in McAllen, TX, and worked for 9 years photographing all promotions and posters for Melrose stores across the country. I've done fashion photography and ads for several local magazines. And of course, I love to photograph anyone for portraits, special occasions, or just because!
Basically, I love to find the beauty in every person I photograph. Perfection is boring- relaxed and natural is so much more beautiful to me. |
